The Arkinlight Program
Central Texas Husky is home to the Arkinlight Siberian Husky program. The Arkinlight Program is the result of over a decade of learning, competing, studying, and continuously refining our vision for the Siberian Husky breed.

Breed Preservation
Not a single dog, pedigree, or breeding decision.
The Arkinlight Program is the result of careful planning, generations of evaluation, and a commitment to preserving everything that makes the Siberian Husky one of the world's most admired breeds.
Every dog we produce is shaped by learning, competition, study, and the responsibility to make decisions that serve the future of the breed.
What Arkinlight Means
Three dogs helped shape the name and the vision.
The name Arkinlight was created from three influential dogs that helped shape our breeding program. These dogs represent three respected breeding programs that each contributed something unique to our vision.
Arrow brought the temperament, size, and easygoing nature we value so highly.
Pumpkin brought the beautiful breed type, elegant expression, and rich coat quality that make Siberian Huskies instantly recognizable.
Twilight brought the sound movement, structure, and consistency that generations of successful breeding have produced.
Individually, each dog was exceptional. Together, they became the foundation of the Arkinlight Program.
Our Goal
Produce Siberian Huskies that are complete dogs.
Every breeding decision we make starts with a simple goal.
- Beautiful without exaggeration
- Structurally sound
- Mentally stable
- Physically athletic
- Health tested
- Confident in new environments
- Wonderful family companions
Form And Function
The Siberian Husky was never intended to be decorative.
The breed was developed as an endurance athlete capable of traveling long distances efficiently while maintaining strength, soundness, and stamina. That history still matters today.
When evaluating our dogs, we look beyond appearance. A beautiful dog that cannot move correctly is not an improvement. A dog with a beautiful coat but unstable temperament is not an improvement. True quality comes from balancing all of these traits together.
- Movement
- Structure
- Balance
- Temperament
- Confidence
- Athletic ability
- Overall breed type
Health Comes First
Maple changed how we approach breeding.
Our journey began with a dog named Maple. Losing Maple to health issues taught us firsthand how devastating poor breeding decisions can be for families.
That experience permanently changed how we approach breeding. Health testing cannot guarantee perfection, but it provides information that helps breeders make responsible decisions for future generations.
Annual eye screening helps guide responsible breeding decisions.
Hip evaluations add another layer of information for long-term soundness.
Socialization
The world should not be something puppies fear.
One of the biggest differences in our program is the amount of interaction our dogs receive throughout their lives. Because we operate an active boarding and training facility, our dogs are constantly exposed to real daily life.
Puppies learn that new experiences can be positive. This creates dogs that are more confident, adaptable, and successful in their future homes.
- Visitors
- Volunteers
- Returning puppy families
- New environments
- Different handling styles
- Daily routines
Conditioning
Siberian Huskies are athletes.
We believe they should be treated like athletes. Our dogs participate in structured conditioning programs that support physical development, confidence, and daily enrichment.
We even developed custom software to track health, conditioning, and training information for our dogs. Excellence is rarely accidental. It is the result of consistency.
- Self-propelled treadmill work
- Pacing treadmill sessions
- Urban mushing
- Scooter conditioning
- Flirt pole exercises
- Pack play
- Enrichment activities
Transparency
Our kennel is not hidden behind photographs or marketing claims.
One thing that makes us different is that we welcome visitors. We encourage prospective families to meet our dogs, tour our facility, ask questions, and see firsthand how our dogs live.
We believe families should have the opportunity to evaluate us just as carefully as we evaluate them.
The Future of Arkinlight
Built around preservation, education, health, temperament, and structure.
The Arkinlight Program is always evolving. Every litter teaches us something. Every show teaches us something. Every generation provides opportunities to improve.
Our mission is not to create as many puppies as possible. Our mission is to continue producing Siberian Huskies that represent the very best qualities of the breed while creating companions that families will cherish for a lifetime.
